university of texas at arlington (Master's)
My name is Emad. I hold a Master's degree in TESOL from the University of Texas at Arlington. I also have a Principal Certification EC-12 in the state of Texas. I have been working in Dallas ISD for 12 years as the ESL Department Head and the LPAC Chair. I have been a CILT member for several years. Being LPAC chair helped me to assume leadership roles in working with teachers, students and parents. As a team player, I have to work with teachers to make sure ELL learners have been appropriately placed and well served in their classes. My Principal relied on my abilities to provide training for teachers on the best ELL strategies. I assisted in the successful completion of a “Turn Around Grant” to help struggling students in math and reading.
My resume illustrates specific examples of my leadership and administrative duties. My evaluations have always noted my strengths as being creative thinker, problem solver, strong long-range planner and good communicator. I believe that my strengths and abilities are exactly what you are looking for.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have an MA in TESOL. I have taught ESL in secondary school for 12 years. I have worked as a rater for one year in ETS.
