I was that kid. The kid that was the bottom reader in their class. I missed out on learning the fundamentals of reading and math, causing me to fall behind the other students. I was the one that needed extra tutoring for reading and math.

My struggle came in the form of reading difficulty. Your child’s struggles may look completely different. My ultimate goal is to help your child turn their struggles into successes. I want each child to enjoy their time and see the fruits of their labor as they gain confidence in their abilities.

As a Dyslexia Specialist, my goal is to share the joy and love of reading with others by helping students become independent readers, writers, and spellers. Together we can create a plan based on your child’s needs and set clear goals. I can’t wait to see you in the Joy of Reading!

I am a Certified State Language Therapist, and Certified Academic Language Therapist and practitioner. I received my Master's degree at Hardin Simmons University as a Reading Specialist and my Undergraduate in General Education for Early Childhood through-6th grade. I have also obtained my ESL certification.

I have been trained in two Dyslexia programs: Texas Scottish Rite Hospital For Dyslexia and Hardin Simmons Houston Lantrip Center for Literacy and Learning Basic Language Skills Program. The Basic Language Skills is similar to the MTA program utilized in public schools. Together I have over 1400 hours of clinical experience and 5 plus classroom years of dyslexia classroom experience.
