I have taught on-level to AP physics 1 at a DFW high school, and currently teach Honors Physics full time. My bachelor is in Biology, and I am currently in the process of getting a Masters in Physics with a minor in Biology as well. I am certified to teach all science courses in the state of Texas.

I have experience tutoring students of very wide age range (first grade to college), and I am very skilled with teaching various levels of math and science at middle school to high school level. I am certain that I can help your student succeed.

I am very confident in my ability to reach out to students and help them understand. The most common trend I've seen in students who struggle with math or science is that they lose confidence, and therefore interest. No one likes to do things that they think they're bad at, after all. When I tutor students, I try to make them feel confident in their work, and encourage them to think logically. I always ask my students about their thought progress, and I lead them to the answer without giving it to them directly. Great experience!

To quote my daughter - "Cynthia is the best!". My high school daughter is currently in AP Physics and with two meetings so far, Cynthia has been incredibly helpful. She explains things in a way that is easy for my daughter to understand and has a great rapport as well. We will definitely continue to meet with Cynthia throughout the school year as needed. I can't recommend her highly enough!

Provides Excellent Service

Cynthia is tutoring me in Korean. I've only had one lesson with her so far, but I was very impressed. I'm a beginner, but because my level actually ended up being a little bit higher than she expected she had to throw some of her original lesson out the window. However, she was great at improvising and coming up with sample dialogue that fit my needs on the spot. The way she explains different aspects of the language really click with me. I feel that my hold on the Korean language will definitely improve as I continue to work with her. I look forward to future lessons with this tutor.
