I have a good history of teaching at the elementary level. HEBisd is my focus. I substituted there in 2013/2014 and had the privilege of being chosen as an "Outstanding Sub". I substituted from pre-kindergarten up to junior high. I never lacked a day of work. Some schools would specify that I take the jobs at their schools. The substitute director promised me that she would keep me busy until I got a permanent position as a teacher.
Her words were true. I did get a teacher aide position at one of the district's elementary schools. In the interview the principal promised me a teaching position in the future. Since I have been an aide at this particular school, I have been given the responsibility of teaching math to children with behavioral issues. This responsibility is with the special education department and the principal's approval.
As I teach these students, I noticed that one of the biggest problems is that they do not listen to instructions carefully. Something in their minds tells them that things should be done according to their standards. They need to understand that the standards for learning have certain specific abilities that the student must master and understand. They need to understand that a good teacher makes sure that they understand these specifics and make them consistently present as he teaches.
Another quality I emphasize in my teaching is that a good student is a good comrade of fellow students. Knowledge is meant to be shared and not hoarded. I do not make a practice of bragging about any student. I always emphasize helping others. I also emphasize cooperation. I do not allow students to let their personal preferences to interfere with learning. They must learn to work together because education is the goal and not personal satisfaction.
These are my areas of certification: Special education: early childhood- 12th grade, and generalist, early childhood-8th grade.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have taken the certification exam for these grades and passed them. I have taught all the grades (1-6) as a substitute. I received the award "Outstanding Sub" for the school year 2013/2014.
These are my certifications: EC-12 special and EC-8 generalist.
