I am a former High School and Middle School teacher. I have taught every Math subject in both Middle school and High School. In addition to teaching full time for 10 years, I have 8 additional years tutoring and love working one-one with students who want to better understand the concepts and want to increase their confidence. I was nominated as teacher of the year in my school, and had 99% pass rate for the STAAR test in my Algebra 1 classes over my career.
I love working one-one with students and I allow space for them to learn and practice new concepts. I also teach them to trust the process as they learn and figure out the work they bring. Teaching additional helpful concepts that help students get ahead and work efficiently is another passion of mine.
I find the gaps that keep students from progressing and help them bridge those gaps. I use interactive white boards when tutoring online. This allows me see students' work process so I can them make the adjustments they need.
