The University of Texas at El Paso (Industrial Engineer)
I am currently looking for an engineering position since my contract at the company that I work for will end in 2 weeks. During this time or until I get hired, I am highly interested in tutoring part-time. I used to be in an organization back in high school that was called PALS, where we would teach elementary students basic Math or English during our available time. I have the patience and dedication to benefit any child's learning and improve their grades as well. I have always been the "honor roll student" ever since kindergarten all the way to college. Also in high school as well as college I was very involved in all types of organizations; which led to my aptitude into talking to anyone.
Gratefully I made the top 10 in middle school, high school and even college (UTEP). I have always been a full time worker and a full time student, so I know what it is like to have the drive in being an overachiever. Tutoring is beneficial in any students life and it can promote their perspective of how they see education. Sometimes all a student needs is a separate guidance that they cannot obtain from their class. I will guarantee that the student that I tutor will succeed in that particular course because as a team we will achieve their primary goal.
My entire career consisted of utilizing mathematics. Engineering is mostly based of math concepts and formulas.i
I can read/write/speak Spanish fluently as well as English.
I always got commended on my reading exams (TAKS Test). Can write outstanding essays.
I will teach you until you know it, remember practice makes perfect. The more you know, then the more powerful you will be. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
