Approved subjects
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Algebra 1
I've been an educator for that last 8 years and year after year, I'm assigned to tested math subject. I tutor students before and after school and as well as helping students with retesters during summer.
Geometry
I have been teaching for nine years as a high school math teacher, including Geometry. I have a degree in computer engineering and this year is my fourth year to be the department head for our math group in a HS. I have tutored and helped students more than I can count and try to regain their confidence in their math subject.

STAAR
I am currently teaching a STAAR tested subject, Algebra I. I have been teaching this subject for four years and have extensive experience with reviewing students for their exam. I'm currently working as a certified math teacher in Donna and also head of our department for the last four years.
