Hi! I'm a Biology major at the University of North Texas. Most of my classes are math and science classes, but I have always really enjoyed English as well! I have a lot of experience with children, because I have spent years tutoring/babysitting both my seven siblings and other students as well. I usually work at a children's camp, but during the school year I love to help out with school work! I understand what it feels like to go through school feeling like no one is helping you with your school work, so I love to do everything I can to help younger students.

I have taken many math courses now, through MATH 1432 (College Calculus II), and have never made lower than an A. I find Algebra and Precalculus very exciting, and love to teach it to my peers and other students.

I love to read, in any genre, but especially the classics. I have experience reading dozens of AP novels as well as college level literature, but also enjoy reading nonfiction and young adult fiction for fun. I have been writing for a long time, it was my favorite class throughout school because my mother is a professional writer. She made me write essays for her every week, beginning in the first grade.
In the eighth grade I won first place in the Rotary Club essay competition, and the writing sections were the easiest for me on the SAT/ACT.
Two summers ago, I worked on the Creative Media team for YouVersion. I worked with the editor, but also had five of my own articles published that summer.

I have studied music since the age of five, and now play multiple instruments including piano, trombone, euphonium, guitar, and voice. I have studied music theory beginning at the age of five as well, so I am comfortable tutoring in that subject. I am comfortable teaching beginner lessons for piano.
