Texas Woman's University (Kinesiology)
Hello there, I am Desmond. I am a junior at TWU and I am majoring in kinesiology. I am of African descent and I completed four years in college back in my country. I majored in mathematics/computer science back in my country and I was fortunate enough to tutor some of my colleagues. I am very proficient in college algebra, elementary math and trigonometry. I completed my associates in science at my community college (North lake college) in Irving.
I tutored anatomy, biology, and chemistry at my community college in Irving. I also tutored, algebra 1, trigonometry, and elementary math to my friends whom needed help with problems. I have been tutoring friends and colleagues for almost 6 years now and I believe it is my passion and I would love to help any one in need of my assistance.
I currently have a G.P.A of 3.97 and my knowledge of mathematics is very broad. I took college algebra, elementary math, and trigonometry twice. Once in my country and another time here in the US. I understand the scope of mathematics here in the US and i have tutored friends in the subjects stated above.
My knowledge in English is well rounded. Coming from a foreign country, I understand the challenge of trying to master the art of proper communication in English. I have taken English 1 and 2 here in the US and passed them both with distinctions. I can help teach this knowledge I posses about the English language.
As I stated earlier, tutoring has always been my passion. I derive joy when my friends or colleagues are able to understand a material that I have helped them with. I want to encourage anyone having trouble with understanding any subject to keep pressing on and put in as much effort as they can. However, if you feel the problem is insurmountable then ask my help and I would gladly be there to help. Hello there, I am Desmond. I am a junior at TWU and I am majoring in kinesiology. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
