I have helped classmates and friends do better in class before when they struggled with math, real estate class, and language classes. I don't have any experience in teaching, but when I tutor friends, I try to incorporate what I believe makes you learn faster. I try to make the student participate as much as possible and use his/her critical thinking skills to figure out the problem.
I was born in Mexico and not only did I learn Spanish by speaking it everyday, but by constantly learning it inside a classroom setting. My French knowledge was attained at UNLV and I sharpened that knowledge by spending a semester in France.
I gained Excel knowledge at school with projects and at work when I had to create templates.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
