“**Excellent tutor**”

My goal is always to help my students understand the concepts they are struggling with, so that they can do their best, both when doing their coursework and beyond. I will guide you through your homework problems, check your work, share with you any tips I know that might help you, and, of course, help you better understand any topics you're

Justin has been patient and thorough as a Calculus 2 tutor. Breaking each step down into simple, easy-to-understand concepts, Justin guides you through complex material leaving you with not only with the knowledge of how to solve a problem, but also why it works. As someone who has been through a few tutors, I highly recommend Justin.

We discussed linear subspaces in linear Algebra. Justin did figure out proofs of two lemmas in research paper I was struggling with. Thank you so much for all your great help Justin!. I highly recommend his service.

Justin, was very helpful and knowledgeable about the material. He helped me with the issues I was having with my code and explained it in a very simple manner. Thank you so much.

Before my first tutoring session with Justin, I felt frustrated and hopelessly lost in class. After only one session I felt confident in my calculus skills.

Justin is patient, polite, and knowledgeable. I recommend him to anyone seeking math tutoring.

Justin had a keen understanding of College Algebra and worked well with my son. He not only showed him the formulas but he also had him practice the formula after showing him which is exactly what my son needed. I would definitely hire him again!

Good first session, new to tutoring so didn't know what to expect. Answered all my questions, helped me better understand my mistakes and very friendly.

Justin met with me before my exam and took me from feeling totally lost in all my work to helping me not only understand the work, but feeling confident in my math. He took a very slow approach with me just like I asked for, he has neat tricks he will teach you that will help you understand the course work much better.

Justin is a wonderful tutor. He is really thorough in explaining any questions I have, and is very patient with me when I don't understand something.

He is very knowledgeable and enjoys sharing his love of math with his students. He also helps explain the root of a problem or how a problem can be applied. I also appreciate that he comes to my home.

He sends reminders of our appointment and returns requests or questions within a very reasonable amount of time. I have him for Calculus, which is quite time consuming for me.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I've done calculus tutoring for several years, and I received A's when I originally took those courses.

I've been a hobbyist programmer since I was in high school. I've learned a number of languages, and I always love learning new ones and new technologies, but most of my recent experience has to do with Java/Android, and even more recently JavaScript/node.js. I have two years of experience tutoring in my university's math clinic, helping students with any concepts and exercises that they were having trouble with.

I've known CSS since I was in high school building small web pages for myself. I've kept up with advances in the language and refresh my knowledge in it frequently.

I have taken, and done well in, differential equations courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. Also, differential equations is one of the courses that I tutored while working in the math clinic at UTA.

As an undergraduate at UTA, I have taken discrete mathematics and advanced discrete mathematics. I did well in both courses, and I thoroughly enjoyed the material.

Geometry was a big part of my graduate studies. Additionally, I've previously worked in a high school geometry classroom for an entire school year.

I am very familiar with the Java programming language and environment, having created an Android application in addition to studying the language thoroughly.

I am a self-taught JavaScript programmer. I have used the language to successfully completed various exercises make submissions to programming contests. I also use it for some personal projects.

I've taken linear algebra at the graduate and undergraduate level, receiving an A and a B, respectively. My PhD work has focused on algebra, which has required that I be exceedingly familiar with vector spaces and linear transformations, which are heavily used in linear algebra classes.

I've used Linux on my personal computers for over 8 years. In the last two years I've used the Arch Linux distribution, which has required that I learn a lot about how the OS works.

My minor for my bachelor's degree was physics. I received good grades in those courses, which included computational physics, astrobiology, and introductory modern physics.

I've know Python since I was in high school, and I've used it off and on over the years. In particular, I've used it to complete all of my assignments and projects in my computational physics course, all of which I received good grades for. I've also used Python to write small GUI applications.

I've known and used HTML, CSS, and JavaScript since I was in high school. I've built small pages/sites as personal projects, and I've kept up to date on modern additions to all three languages.
