Hello and Welcome!
I am a PhD candidate at UNT in English with a concentration in (American) literature. I have been a teaching fellow for 3 years, teaching freshman writing at UNT. I enjoy tutoring students and helping them one-on-one and in small groups. I have a daughter with ADHD, dyslexia, and other special learning needs, so I understand what it is like for your child to struggle with focus and attention in school and miss out on valuable instruction time.

Knowledgeable, well prepared, excellent communicator and patient
Leslie is clear and has a plan on how to work with each of my kids who are very different. She is excellent with her communication. Both kids are really enjoying working with her.

Knowledgeable and patient
I feel really lucky to have found Leslie. She is the best tutor I have ever had. She is very patient, prepared, and knows all there is to know about the dissertation. Meeting with her did not feel like work; it really feels like a free-flowing conversation with an extremely knowledgeable professional, who goes at your pace and caters the material to your specific learning style. Thank you so much for your help.

Great Writing Tutor
I was looking for a writing tutor for my 12 year old son who's been struggling with the subject. Leslie arrived right on time for the appointment. She came well prepared, with numerous handouts, activities and teaching aids. My son is usually quiet and reserved, but she was able to get him to open up and relax, and write! She made the hour fly by. I immediately booked her for the rest of June. I can tell she and my son clicked right away. She was very polite and professional, but more than anything, she got my son excited about writing in only their first hour together!
