About Mario

I am very excited and happy for the opportunity to be part of the learning community. To accomplish your goals in school requires hard work, dedication and hours of studying. During this journey it includes studying on your own and/or in groups, understanding each and every subject and within it the concepts that applies to the subject, commitment to work on understanding and practicing, keeping up with your schedule, and much more.

I am a recent electrical engineer graduate. During my college years I had the great opportunity to volunteer on tutoring students who had a hard time understanding different topics. I tutored one on one with a student or a groups of students. It was an honor to help out in any way possible.

My main goal is to assist and help the student to successfully achieve their task. It is important to communicate and interact with the student on the subject matter and set up a plan to successfully accomplish the task. I will interpret the topic in a clear manner so the student can comprehend the concept, understand the meaning and learn to apply the techniques of the matter.

I am willing to dedicate as much time to help the student understand and improve their knowledge on the topic, work out problems, homework and prepare for tests. I am available anytime after 6 pm Monday through Thursday, and anytime during the weekends. I can tutor online or travel to meet with the student. I look forward to hearing from you soon and thank you!

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 1

I have been tutoring Algebra 1 for some time now. Algebra was a big part of all my college courses, constantly working problems out. I am a very patient person and willing to go into depth on topics most difficult and explain it in different ways with different methods. In addition, I can also teach how to use and check your work in a graphing calculator.

Algebra 2

I have been tutoring Algebra 1, college Algebra for sometime now. I am a very patient person and willing to go into depth on topics most difficult and explain it in different ways with different methods. In addition, I can also teach how to use and check your work in a graphing calculator.

Precalculus

I have been tutoring Algebra 1,2 and College Algebra for a long time. Pre-Calculus is very similar to Algebra 2 and College Algebra with the exception of a few advanced topics, such as trigonometry. I can teach and explain the concepts of each topic and show the student tricks to double check their work using a graphing calculator. With my experience, it has helped me throughout the years in college. I am a recent college graduate and I am capable of giving the student a great experience to prepare for the future.

Knowledgeable and patient tutor

My daughter and I are both taking in precalculus, with different teachers. She catches on quicker I think. When he was done with her lesson, I said, "ok, are you going to be able to go slow and dumb it down for me?" He stated he could go slower, not a problem. I'm still working with him after 6 hours of lessons and he is patient and slower with us older folks. :) I highly recommend him for people
