About Zach

Basketball has been a part of my life for over 20 years. I grew up playing and watching it, which soon turned into analyzing and studying it. The sport has taught me so much throughout my life, with only a fraction of those teachings about the sport itself. Most of my coaching/training experience has been with full teams of young men (14-17yrs old), but I have also done individual sessions with players as well. I truly enjoy passing on my knowledge of the game I love and watching the personal growth of not only a students skills, but their confidence as well.

I accept all skill levels and ages of students. I will work with my students to achieve their own personal goals, whether it be to work toward a athletic scholarship or up your skills for the pick-up games at the local rec center. No goal is too large or small. I want to help each person become the basketball player that they want to be.

I played organized basketball as part of a team or multiple teams from the ages of 7 to 19, including a year on the UT Tyler men's basketball team. In high school I was the captain of my team and voted to the All-District and All-Region teams during my final year. I coached my former high school's Spring League team after graduation with much success. I have also personally trained a few young players as well.

While I am getting back into personal training of young basketball players just recently, my knowledge and passion for this sport is as strong as ever. I look forward to helping you reach your full potential as a student of the game of basketball.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Basketball

I was a player on an organized basketball team from the ages of 7 to 19. I played basketball at the college level for the University of Texas at Tyler for one year until injury kept me from continuing.
I coached my former high school's Spring League team to a 11-1 record after graduation. I have individually trained 3 basketball players.
