I am a former NC teacher that relocated here for a PhD program in Education at a local university. I have previously taught high school math and math to ESOL students. Tutoring is fun because it allows teachers to actually obtain an individual understanding of how students learn. I like to make

I have had several Calculus tutoring sessions with Anthony and I can do nothing but sing his praises. He has a way of breaking everything down so it is totally comprehendible. If you're looking for a patient/dependable/knowledgable tutor, Anthony's help is worth every penny.

Anthony worked well with both my 3rd grader and my 10th grader on math. He was able to speak to both kids on their different levels easily. Our kids enjoyed working with Anthony. We look forward to continued sessions and building on confidence and skills in math!

Anthony was a godsend after having a not so good experience with another tutor. My son likes the way Anthony explains the content and is able to get much more out of his lessons with Anthony than his current teacher.

Anthony was extremely patient and proficient!! He was able to break concepts down and articulate them in a way that made Linear Algebra very clear and simple!

Great tutor! My high school son said he covered a tremendous amount of subject matter in an easy to understand manner. Will definitely use him again!

Anthony is a great teacher --- My son said he was "awesome" and explained math concepts in a very effective and understandable way. We are looking forward to continued lessons with Anthony!

Anthony has made a good connection with my son and is helping him with his Algebra. The experience has been very good and I highly recommend Anthony!

I had a reticent 16 year old son about using a tutor (he thinks he doesn't need it...even with a 69 in geometry). He loved Anthony! Even agreed to see him again. I think in 1 hour Anthony got more geometry concepts in my son's head that 8 weeks of class. We will definitely be seeing him again!

Anthony met me on short notice and helped me prepare for a test. His teaching was very helpful and I plan to use him in the future.

My son said he learned more in 5 minutes with Anthony than his math teacher had taught him in the last 3 weeks. We are very impressed!

Anthony agreed to help me at my last minute. He was very helpful, patient and knowledgeable. I have had several lessons since and more scheduled. Definitely recommend.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

BA in Biology from Baylor University

I have tutored calculus with great results from a variety of different achievement levels. For my mathematics degree, I took four levels of calculus. I have also had to apply the concepts to real-world applications.

As a math major, I took this course in college and received high marks. I also apply the concepts of differentiation all the time in tutoring calculus, and have very high success in it.

I have taught geometry topics at the high school level for the past 3 years. I took classes in Euclidean geometry in college. I can relate geometry back to algebra topics.

I have taken prerequisite courses in linear algebra as well as classes after the course. I have also taught some of the course content to high school students. When taking the course in college, I made an A.

I have taught precalculus during student teaching to a diverse set of students. It taught me to think outside of the box and how to make the subject matter more relatable to all students.

BA in Spanish from Baylor University.

Immersion in the language in Mexico, Spain, and Latin America.

I have taken AP stats in high school as well as calculus based stats in college. I am now taking stats to be an educational researcher, which includes all of the stats needed for AP Stats and further.

I have taught Trigonometric topics through Common Core curriculum.
