About Ana

I have more than 5 years of experience with tutoring children from elementary to high school. While attending The Catholic University of America in DC, I took secondary education courses, curriculum and instruction courses, linguistic courses, and courses in educating diverse learners. Before going off to college, I worked with children in my local elementary school as well as taught Sunday School and participated in the children's choir. Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have more than 7 years working with children in elementary and middle school. I have tutored children in elementary for more than 5 years in Dallas and in DC. I am currently the director of my church's children choir which includes children in elementary and middle school. In college I took different education courses and did a semester of student teaching.

Religion

I attended The Catholic University of America in DC. I have taken 4 theology courses and four philosophy courses. I have also been a Sunday school teacher for about 3 years where I attended workshops.

Volleyball

I played volleyball for more than 5 years. During middle school and high school I played in the varsity teams. I took my high school varsity team to the play offs my first year on the team.
