I have been in the education field for 10 years plus. I have spent time teaching all ages from elementary to adult. I even had the opportunity to teach in Seoul, South Korea as an English as a Second Language teacher. The experience was priceless. When I came back to United States, I continued to work with students from various backgrounds teaching Reading and ESL. Seeing a student light up in learning another language and actually understanding what they are saying or reading, is very exciting for me.
Learning another language is difficult, but I make it interesting by providing activities that are engaging. The activities allow the students to put into practice what they are learning at that time. Sometimes the activities are hands-on , while others may be base with current online programs. Every student is treated with respect as well as respect to their culture. I can relate with students that learn another language because my parents and other family members were not born in America. I am a first-born American citizen. I am always open to learning from my students as my students learn from me.
I look forward to providing you quality learning. I promise you, you will have fun learning English and after a couple of session, you will be saying- I Love English! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
