My goal is to empower students to be successful through education. I want to impart knowledge that focuses on everyday life skills while addressing the state standards. It is imperative to me that my students develop a lifelong desire to learn and grow academically. With the increased level of state standards, students may be apprehensive about learning new concepts. I will bridge the gap of knowledge and make students feel more at ease with meeting the challenges they are facing.

Sometimes parents are unable to help their children with today's current assignments. By addressing students' deficits, I hope to increase academic performance scores by 80%. This may seem like a lot, but progress can be made with hard work and determination. I hope to serve my students, so they can overcome difficult objectives set by the state.
I have been teaching for 20 years. I taught 6.5 years in Arkansas and 14 years in Texas. I taught Special Education in Arkansas which gives me background knowledge when working with students who have disabilities. Since living in Texas, I have taught Math-7 & 8. It has been very satisfying seeing students learn. I look forward to working with you and hope you gain a lot of knowledge under my instruction.
