I am all about art; I eat, sleep, dream, art. I am an art teacher with 6 years of experience teaching in high school and elementary school. My specialty is two dimensional artwork, including oil painting, acrylic, and water color as well as illustration and graphic design. My passion lies in helping students achieve that next level of creation, when they find their groove and what they would do for free regardless if they were paid or just doing it for the sake of doing art.
Once a student realizes this they are free to explore and embrace their full potential as an artist. I have had extensive collegiate training under the mentoring of the late John T. Scott. It was he that taught me the value of practice. One lesson he taught is enough is never enough. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
