About Scott

Students and Parents:

I have taught in Dallas area schools for over 12 years. My primary focus is elementary aged students but I have worked with all levels. I mostly have worked in DISD but also have worked in HPISD. I have a Masters degree in education. My graduate GPA is 3.8. My Masters focus area was gifted and talented content development. I have also passed the highly qualified test for 4-8 social studies. As noted, I have a lot of experience as a teacher and have the education to back up this experience.

My approach as a tutor is one of a student centered philosophy. Each student is unique. My goal as a tutor is to find what teaching method will work with your learning style. You might be seeking a tutor because content is being presented in the classroom that might conflict with your individual learning style, thereby making a subject more difficult than it should be. My student focused philosophy can be very effective in gaining content mastery in a wide variety of subjects.

I hope to hear from you soon!

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
