I have a Masters Degree in Education and I am TESOL/TEFL certified, plus I have over 10 years teaching English as a second language. I have several years of experience developing curriculum, applying new teaching methods and techniques and writing assessments.
I have worked in Spain, Italy and South Korea as an ESL instructor. I am passionate about language and about helping students meet their English goals. The best thing I love about tutoring/teaching is been present when the light bulb goes on-that moment when students who have been struggling with some concept or challenge finally get it and understand. The look in their eyes, the release of tension in the shoulders, the prideful smile...Amazing!

Students will love learning because learning is and should be fun.
I love the process of teaching: I love its creative opportunities. I love listening to students talking, love watching their progress, and seeing their confidence rise as a result of their skills improving. I am very passionate about learning and education. But most importantly I am very passionate about the students I teach and making sure they are learning and improving every day. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
