“**Great tutor and very accomodating with her time.**”

With over 40 years in the classroom, I have worked with students at many levels. I still attend professional meetings to make sure that I have sharp skills to handle today's curriculum demands. While the state of Texas demands that all students study physics, the decision makers have not provided a path for the teachers to understand the issues

Beverly was very knowledgeable in her subject. She provided a lot of positive reinforcement and encouragement as she gave her lesson. She was easy to reach and understood that help was needed at unscheduled times due to unforeseen circumstances. Such a pleasant lady!

Beverly has been so supportive of our daughter. Very patient and encouraging. Willing to work with her as long as it takes. It took us a while to find the right tutor, and we are so glad that we did.

Beverly was very helpful with reviewing material and working physics problems in preparation for an exam. She was flexible with time, had a positive attitude and was very responsive to my daughter's specific needs.

My daughter is working really well with Beverly C. I am so glad to have found her. We will be working with Beverly many times I'm sure! Thanks!

Comprehensive command of the subjects, both Biochemistry and Physics. The tutor is patient and is an effective teacher.

Not only is Beverly extremely qualified in the subject, she is also able to teach it very effectively. In two hours with my daughter, Beverly compensated for 8 weeks of unsatisfactory school instruction in Physics.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I am certified in 3 states to teach math. I have taught Algebra I and Algebra II in a full time program for gifted students. I have 32 hours of credit in undergraduate math courses and 12 hours of credit in graduate math courses.

I have compeleted an undergraduate program with 32 hours of math and I have had extensive math classes as part of my graduate program in chemistry and physics. I have taught high School Algebra II and tutored many students with college algebra. I continue to apply the math concepts to allaa of the other subjects I teach as often it is the math manipulations that present the biggest problem to the students in other disciplines.

I have A BS in chemistry and my Master's in Sci Ed included chemistry. I taught chemistry for 25 years and I have tutored many students in this field.

I have been a physics teacher for a long time. I am active in the American Association of Physics Teachers and the TX section of AAPT. I am a Physics Teacher Resource Agent and I have attended workshops for the last 20 years at AAPT meetings to improve my understanding of physics concepts. I have worked with the Modeling physics curriculum, Mechanical Universe curriculum, Comprehensive Conceptual Curriculum in Physics and the PRISMS Physics curriculum.

I have worked in the middle school science program as part of the Full-time Gifted Program. This included many units of study that were collaborations the math program. I have also worked as a tutor many middle school students that had difficulty with math and pre-algebra. I have completed several graduate classes in teaching strategies for math students.
