About Juan

I have a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from UT Arlington and am now working on a Master's in Electrical Engineering with Biomedical Applications from UT Dallas. I have about two years experience tutoring students at the high school math and science level, at a community college math lab and also online.

I have been told that I am quite patient, and would make a good teacher. I also am soon going to begin my internship at a second NASA center, but I am available until the beginning of 2016. Please let me know how I can help you!

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Precalculus

I am a current Graduate student at the University of Texas at Dallas in Biomedical Applications of Electrical Engineering. My Bachelor's degree is in Aerospace Engineering. I also have various professional and internship experience in electrical, biomedical, mechanical and aerospace engineering. I am also a Pathways Engineering Trainee at NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland during the summers. I have tutored algebra through calculus at the middle, high school and college levels. I have a passion for trying to understand things at their roots, and hope to instill the same in others. This is what is at the heart of learning and solving new problems.
