Greetings! I offer tutoring in most of the humanities and liberal arts subjects. History, English grammar (due to my language background), writing (including paper formatting!), research, language acquisition, political science and test preparation are some of the subjects I have tutored and taught in. I am competent in 2 ancient languages and 2 modern languages (including English). I have a Master of Arts in New Testament Studies and am presently working on my doctoral thesis (Th.D.) in New Testament with am emphasis on rhetorical criticism. I'm presently an adjunct professor and I pastor a church. As a result, I'm a seasoned public speaker. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Significant experience teaching in a formal setting: language, grammar, composition, proofreading, rhetoric, reading skills, interpretive methods, and literary criticism. I am skilled and experienced in the area of Hellenistic Greek (300 B.C.-A.D. 450). I took 10 semesters of Greek and Greek related courses in my Bachelors and Masters degree studies. I worked as the departmental graduate assistant and substituted lectured the Greek classes as needed.
I have taught full Greek courses on a number of occasion, by invitation and by self-advertisement. I also have tutored a number of seminary students in the subject as well and have seen them go from failing to getting top test scores.
