In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am a Certified ESL Teacher in the State of Texas since 1993. I have taught the English language to elementary school grades second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth. I have also taught English language skills to middle school grade seven. Currently I teaching English to students at the second largest high school in the country, which includes, ninth, tenth, eleventh and twelth grades ESL. My experience includes everyday speech communication in the classroom and for use outside the classroom. Lessons are given in grammar, phonics, spelling, reading and writing for students whose first language is not English.
