Bonjour! My name is Jillian and I am a French citizen and native speaker who was born in Dallas and raised between the US and France. I am a French language tutor with a degree in Journalism and a Minor in French from the University of Oklahoma. I am currently a French teacher for both children and adults at the Dallas International School as well as a private French tutor for those needing additional support in their foreign language learning journey. I have also taught French online for ClassOver and ParlayVacay and I am available for both online and in-person sessions (as long as you are local to Dallas). I'm here to help my students love learning the French language and culture!

My professional and life experiences, together with my French heritage, have created the person that I am today. Because of these defining influences, I view all situations in life and work with diplomacy and worldliness at the forefront. I am professional and passionate about teaching my students and more than anything, I aim to be kind and personable with everyone. The French language and culture are near and dear to my heart and I love being able to share that passion with my students because I believe that learning a language is more than just memorizing vocabulary and conjugation tables - it's about becoming familiar with the fabric of the culture on a grand-scale including elements such as the food, art, humor, traditions, holidays, geography and so much more. Therefore, it is a goal of mine to provide an experience to my students and to open their eyes to the journey of learning about other cultures, because in doing so, they can learn more about themselves and the world.
