B.A. Texas State Univ. (Psychology)
I am a college graduate from Texas State University with a BA in Psychology. I majored in psychology and minored in Spanish. Although, I was only three classes shy of double majoring in Spanish, I'm working on my teacher's certification to become a high school Spanish teacher. I would love to begin tutoring not only for the experience, but simply because I love the power of knowledge.
Spanish is my native language. Since a child, I have spoken it every single day. I was in bilingual classes as a child for the first years of elementary school. I have taken 27 hours worth of Spanish courses, only 9 hours shy of completing a Bachelors of Arts in Spanish. My junior year of college I took the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) exam and advanced to intermediate level courses. I have taken Advanced Spanish Composition, Intro to Hispanic Literature, Spanish-American Literature, Spanish Civilization, and Spanish-American Civilization. I have the ability to read, write, and speak Spanish. In my college career, I learned how to differentiate between Spanish dialects. I am able to write formal Spanish as I can read and analyze centuries old Spanish literature. I am also capable of reading and analyzing modern day Spanish literature.
If you need a tutor to help you read, write, or speak Spanish, I would be more than happy to help! I am very patient when it comes to teaching. I can also help proof read, if needed. Please feel absolutely free to contact me if you have any questions! Muchas Gracias. I am a college graduate from Texas State University with a BA in Psychology. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
