I am a native Spanish speaker. I have been an experienced and trained Interpreter for over 18yrs, capable of helping you or your child reach all your Spanish speech and language goals. Whether it be educational, vocational or conversational. I believe there is a difference between learning a language and acquiring a language. When you learn a language you can talk about the language (grammar) but not be able to communicate in it. Acquiring means you speak the language because you learned it hands on and in a contextual and meaningful manner, like (babies). I have experience in teaching children through discovery learning, memory games, visual learning, hands on learning, comprehensive input, output practice, total physical response, cultural learning, music learning, aroma and tasting therapy. I will speak to you in Spanish so you can tune your ears to the Spanish language. I won't just teach you what to say; I will teach you HOW to say it. I am a native Spanish speaker. Deni is very helpful and patient while teaching. She understands I am an adult student and does not try and talk down to me as if she were teaching a middle school student. She also realizes my limitations with Spanish and encourages me to push past them. She travels a good distance to assist me and does not complain - stating only that it is within her range. She has been very accommodating to my work schedule. I would highly recommend her.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am qualified because Spanish is my primary language and that is a very important factor for me as a tutor.
I have interpreted and translated from Spanish to English and vice versa for over 20 years.
I have worked with children and adults as an Interpreter/Translator in different fields for over 13 years.
