Hi. I'm a mechanical engineer by degree with a Master’s in Manufacturing Engineering who loves to help middle and high school students gain skills in math for the real world. Having worked in the engineering field now for over 30 years and applied math to real world problems for solutions, I can help you understand and apply math concepts.
Math is not easy but can be fun, although I did not think so when I was in school. Any math problem is just addition, subtraction, multiplication...

Excellent
"He is a really good tutor. He helps me learn" a quote from my 4th grader. We moved to Texas from out of state and my son was behind with the math curriculum here and really struggling. Scott is able to describe things and word things so my son can understand. If he doesn't get it right away Scott is very patient and will try explaining it differently until he gets it. My son was really hating math and not looking forward to going to classes. Now he's coming home and telling me how he's having fun in math class. I can see a change in his attitude towards math. Scott is great with communicating and making sure we're satisfied and that our son is succeeding by going above and beyond.

Scott is knowledgeable and knows how to keep my son engaged.
Scott works with my 13 yo son on middle school algebra. My son was very apprehensive at first but after the very first lesson I could tell my son was relaxed around Scott. Scott actually teaches and shows my boy where he strayed off course. Scott is knowledgeable and knows how to keep my son engaged. After the 3rd lesson my son thanked me for finding him a tutor because he knows it's really helping him grasp 7th grade math.
