I'm an SAT/ACT certified teacher available for 1 on 1 or small group tutoring.
I've taught English from 6-12 grade reading and writing. Certified teacher in NEW SAT/ACT test formats.
My expertise is in SAT/ACT test prep, histories and English writing/grammar and reading. Test taking strategies are a major part of my teaching by making the student feel comfortable and confident in the testing environment.
My goal is to make each session enjoyable and engaging not boring and drilling. I want to challenge but not overwhelm students. I tell what I will teach, teach it, and then test it so the students feel success in every lesson.
I can meet either online or in person at a mutually agreeable site or in your home. My base rate is $60/hour for 1-on-1 lessons and $45/hr for small group lessons. Lesson packages are available at a discount. Please contact me for details.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
