Hi! My name is Moses and I graduated from UT Austin with a Bachelor of Science and Arts in Biology. I have also completed a Biomedical Sciences Certificate at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso this past year. Additionally, I am currently accepted to the Long School of Medicine at UT Health Science Center in San Antonio and will begin my studies for my M.D. this upcoming fall. I come from a family of educators, as my mother is an elementary teacher and my father has worked both as a teacher and a principal. Because of this, I have fallen in love with teaching others since my youth and have pursued this passion into college.

In my undergraduate career, I worked as a General Chemistry 1&2 Course Assistant as well as a Research Mentor for the lab I conducted research in. I have also tutored students in High School and Middle School with topics ranging from Biology, Algebra, Chemistry, and more. In college, I further tutored some students in MCAT prep and general science courses, like Organic Chemistry 1&2 and General Biology. Through these experiences, I fell further in love with the idea of teaching others. To me, teaching another student is learning about their individual learning style and tailoring specific methods to them in order for them to receive learning that allows them to understand the material, rather than memorize it. It's been truly great seeing the impact I can have on my students and observing how they are able to apply their understanding of the material to novel situations and become successful!

I have taken college algebra, pre-calculus, and calculus 1&2 in my time as an undergraduate student, where I attained an "A" in each course. This has cemented my knowledge in the field of Algebra 1 where I would be able to tutor other students and work through problems that trouble them or fill in gaps of knowledge. Lastly, I have tutored many high school students in this area of mathematics, so I have prior experience tutoring Algebra 1.
