As a teacher, I maintain a positive learning environment and approach each student as an individual. I'm a musician based in DFW, Texas, teaching violin and viola, as well as music theory and history. As a teacher, I maintain a positive learning environment and approach each student as an individual. The process of practicing and learning is important to me, and I consider it an honor to help students find ways to unleash their potential!

I generally start beginning and intermediate students with the Suzuki method, supplemented with materials of my choosing like easy theory, sight reading, and scales. I also incorporate fun books, such as Disney hits, fiddle tunes, and film soundtrack solos, to encourage a love of learning and an incentive to practice for younger players. I also teach a wide range of musical styles from pop to fiddle to classical.

For more advanced players, I use curriculum I've assembled myself, tailored to each student's specific needs. I encourage my students to audition for All-Region, All-State, concerto competitions, UIL, and local youth orchestras, giving them the tools they need to reach their goals.

I received my Master's of Music from Texas Christian University and enjoy teaching students of all ages and levels! I teach solo lessons and chamber group lessons for string instruments and am an experienced teacher for violin and viola students. My students have won concerto competitions, participated in All-Region orchestras, earned the title of TMEA Area musicians, and have been accepted as music performance majors at the university level.

Music is my passion and I hope to share my love for the art with you or your student. I look forward to hearing from you!

Great teacher

She has been helping me with my goals very well and I have seen a lot of progress in my time with her. I'm surprised at how effective the lessons have been even though we have done remote sessions each time.
