I have always had a passion for teaching and learning. From a working class background I graduated with honors from Harvard University where I lettered in three sports, football, wrestling and lacrosse. I graduated with honors from Boston College Law School and through the years have taught writing and public speaking. Being the father of nine children, three of whom have graduated from college, I have an in depth knowledge of what is required to assist a student to be successful. I have a thorough knowledge of history, government, literature and economics. My style is to learn the student’s strengths and weaknesses and to constantly encourage the student in the progress he or she will make. I do not believe that one approach works for all students and I assist each student in an individualized plan that fits each student’s learning style. I am a firm believer that any student can be successful if given the right strategy and motivation.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have led Bible classes as well as life groups in our church. I am a lead deacon in our church and have traveled on mission trips to evangelize to five countries in Africa, Belgium, Mexico and Serbia. God’s Word is a daily passion for me and enjoy conveying that passion and purpose.

I have taught and preached the gospel all over the world. I am a lead deacon at Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas which currently has 28,000 members. In my experience at Gateway Church and other locations I have led and participated in mission trips in Germany, Mexico, South Africa, Belgium, Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. I study the Bible daily and participate in biblical seminars on a regular basis.
