My name is Charles W. and I graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M University with a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in mathematics. After switching from electrical engineering, I am currently pursuing a doctoral degree in physics. I tutored with Wyzant for a year during my gap year in between undergrad and grad school. In addition to this, I have tutored both as a tutor for A&M and as an informal tutor for my friends. This experience has taught me to love to teach, and one of my primary reasons for pursuing a PhD is so that I can be a professor and teach students at a collegiate level.

Studying electrical engineering first gave me a broad purview of various kinds of practical mathematical subjects (i.e. calculus 1-3, differential equations, linear algebra, complex analysis, etc.). Studying physics has only helped me expand this range of mathematics as well as given me more experience with and understanding of the basic physics courses (mechanics and E&M) since the concepts found in the aforementioned courses are difficult to avoid in the study of physics at the doctoral level.

Algebra 1,

Algebra 1

I believe that I am qualified to tutor algebra 1 due to the fact that I received an A in each of my 6 mathematics courses.
Calculus,

Calculus

Studying electrical engineering and physics made me become extremely familiar with many of the elements of calculus from basic derivatives and limits to vector calculus and beyond.
Physics,

Physics

I am currently studying physics at a graduate level. The kinds of physics that appear in the study of physics at an undergraduate level appear frequently enough in the study of physics at the graduate level that familiarity with them is requisite.
Precalculus,

Precalculus

The concepts found in precalculus are ubiquitous in the study of physics, so a deep familiarity with the concepts related to this subject is imperative.
Algebra 2, Geometry, Prealgebra

Electrical Engineering,

Electrical Engineering

Due to the fact that I majored in electrical engineering, I am very well acquainted with many of the concepts that are central to electrical engineering such as: analog design, digital design, electromagnetics, etc. In order to graduate summa cum laude in electrical engineering, I had to study these subjects very thoroughly and achieve a very fundamental understanding of each one. For this reason, I believe that I will be able to be helpful to many students who may have inquiries regarding concepts found in electrical engineering.

Excellent tutor

Charles is a very patient and excellent tutor. I was pretty much hopeless in match until he started helping me. I would recommend him to anyone needing assistance in math. He's probably the best math tutor in the bryan college station area.

Super Knowledgeable and Patient

Charles is an outstanding tutor, he is super patient and actually takes the time to explain concepts. He is very good about making connections in the subject he tutors. Most importantly Charles takes the time to offer extra practice problems to you. Highly recommended!!!!!1

Awesome teacher!

Charles really knew his stuff, we ran over everything I had been having trouble with understanding and Charles was really patient and encouraging. I'd recommend him to anyone who is having a tough time in physics and wants to do really well.
