About Wes

Howdy, I am currently a Teacher's Assistant of Music Theory for Texas A&M and work as a volunteer mentor at Anson Jones Elementary School. I truly believe that selfless service is the most fulfilling thing a person can do. My goal is to build an appreciation and passion for education among my students, while also drastically improving their grade and providing that "AHA!" moment. You will not meet a more dedicated or hardworking tutor in College Station.

I love the opportunity to learn about my students' passions and goals. I believe education is one of the best vehicles to attain many of the goals that our generation aspires towards. This is what makes me so passionate about what I do.

I have experience teaching friends in Calculus, and have an excellent math track record, including scoring a 5 on the AP BC Calculus exam in high school. My engineering background demands my strong understanding of advanced math concepts.

Being a teaching assistant and tutor for the music department at Texas A&M, I have lots of experience tutoring students 1 on 1 on advanced music theory concepts. Students continue to use me as a resource and consistently improve their grades as a result.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
