About Patrick

In addition to performing well academically at all levels of my education I have a history of serving as a tutor.

In high school I was recommended by several of my teachers to serve as a peer tutor/mentor for a new after school program. I tutored my peers for two years as a part of this program in a variety of academic disciplines as well as assisted in the college application process for many. I graduated high school with a number of distinctions such as the Horatio Alger National Scholar Award, the Digital & Interactive Media Award, the Who's Who Award two years consecutively, Distinguished Graduate recognition, commended performance on all state examinations, as well as excellent SAT and ACT scores. In addition I also participated in a large number of extracurriculars including serving as the Vice President of the student body, Varsity Captain of several sports teams, and a member of the National Honor Society and Student Council.

Following graduation I went on to attend the Air Force Academy Prep School (USAFAPS) where in addition to taking college preparatory coursework, undergoing military training, and serving as a member of the Honor Council I also tutored my peers in a number of courses.

In the week following my graduation from the preparatory school I accepted my offer to attend Texas A&M University, and enrolled in summer courses. During my time here I have served as a peer tutor as well as a tutor for a local after school program for children. In addition to holding a 3.6 GPA I am also a member of several honor societies. Outside of school I have coached for both Rudder High School's Speed and Power Camp and the City of Bryan's local track club, the Bryan Thunderbolts. In addition to tutoring my jobs include working at 4.0 & Go Test Review and Tutoring, Texas A&M University Sport Clubs, and Lifeguarding for Bryan Parks and Rec.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
