Texas A&M University (Mathematics)
I graduated from Texas A&M University in May 2015. I received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with Honors in Mathematics and University Honors. I'm currently working toward my Master's. For the last two years, I have been a Teaching Assistant for Calculus 1 and 2. I enjoy teaching students, and I strive to help them understand the subject. I believe that there are many different ways to explain a given subject, and I do my best to keep trying until I find the best method for each student. Howdy!

Barbara obviously enjoys teaching. She was available, patient, gave good feedback, and very good at breaking down Calculus concepts to make them understandable. HUGE help! Highly recommend!!
Barbara keeps the student engaged in learning math. My daughter has had math tutors before which were hard to follow when explaining problems. Barbara is very good at explaining math problems.
In only one hour, Barbara boosted my confidence in the area of trigonometry. She was very knowledgeable, patient, sincere, and polite. She is, by far, the best tutor around! I highly recommend Barbara for all of your tutoring needs.
She made clearer the topics of volume by shells, disks, and washers. She boosted my confidence going into my exam.
She is my Calculus tutor and she explains things very clearly. She is very encouraging as well. This makes a big difference when I am frustrated with my material.
She can do it all...I had worries about my final but now that she tutored me and gave me practice problems to bring him I don't have any worries at all. A lifesaver
Barbara is tutoring my college freshman and doing an excellent job. He really likes her and finds their time together very helpful. We would highly recommend her!
I would definitely like to schedule an appointment again. The speed and depth that we went over the material at was perfect. I learned about the polynomial equations and caught up on the stuff I needed to know from the last test. Now, I just have to study and get good sleep.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
