About Zach

Hey! My name is Zach and I recently graduated with a B.S. in Applied Math from Texas A&M University. I plan to spend a good amount of time tutoring as I consider becoming a high school math teacher.

I have enjoyed teaching and communicating concepts since I was a student in middle school and high school. My main goal when I teach is to develop a cognitive understanding of the subject matter through logical reasoning and breaking down the problems in order to understand the concepts behind them. I have always enjoyed math and science and really learning in general. I feel most qualified to teach math, especially subjects with applications of math, such as physics and chemistry. Over the past three semesters I have had the opportunity to mentor classes of math honors students at Texas A&M in calculus 2, linear algebra, and abstract math, which has given me valuable experience as a teacher.

As a tutor my desire is to serve you well!

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Good tutor

Zach taught me sines and cosines and helped me study for a test. He had to refresh his memory on some of it, but once he did he taught well. I recommend him for sure.
