Howdy! My name is Nivyan and I am currently a nuclear engineering major, minoring in chemistry and math at Texas A&M University. I was a Chemistry Teacher's Aid and a part of my school's peer-to-peer work-study program. My teacher approached me for the position and I really enjoyed it. Every now and then I help my friends with courses such as Physics, Math, Chemistry, etc. They are usually impressed at how natural I am in helping them understand. These three courses are my main concentration. I have always been a technical type of guy. Critical thinking and problem solving are two of my strong points. I particularly enjoyed CHEM 102 at the college level. As far as my methods are concerned, I usually explain the formula in question. I also simplify in words what the question asks, making the problem easier to understand and therefore, solve. Another important detail used to effectively solve a problem is to write everything that is known, like constants as well as variables. Using these methods, one can see the bigger picture and therefore have an 'Aha!' moment. Don't hesitate to contact me if you need any help, I'll be looking forward to work with you!

My daughter is a junior and has pre AP Physics. She was very impressed and came back from her lesson highly impressed and satisfied. He is a great tutor and my daughter enjoyed her lesson and learned a lot from it. She is planning on taking regular lessons from Nivyan.
Sat down and developed a studying plan and plan of attack on how to approach Chemistry 107. Now it is just up to me to follow it.
Nivyan was very thorough with the chemistry problems we worked on! He walked through each problem step by step to help clarify the processes.
It was a good lesson. We got a lot done and went over a lot of material. Once again another helpful and successful session. Nivyan is a great tutor and he really goes out of his way to help you out.
Can ask him anything and he will help you with it. If you need Chem help get Nivyan to tutor you!!
Very understanding and helpful. Also very quick to respond. I emailed him about tutoring and within 5 minutes he had already responded!
Nivyan is very patient with me. If I need him to slow down, or repeat what he has gone over, he has no problem doing so. He's always on time for our sessions and always responds to my messages. Definitely recommend for geometry/Chemistry.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
