Hello, I am Jennifer! I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Zoology from Texas A&M University in 2007 and then went on to receive an MS in Biological Sciences and a PhD in Evolution, Ecology & Organismal Biology. As you can tell, I love Biology! During my time as a graduate student, I taught numerous recitation and lab courses, including Zoology, Introductory Biology, Behavioral Endocrinology, Evolution, and Comparative Anatomy. I have extensive experience teaching over Zoom, and I truly enjoy introducing individuals to the study of life.
I also have performed tutoring services for children, ages 6 to 16, in math, science, and English. Teaching in general is rewarding, but teaching children is a joy! I present information from numerous perspectives in order to ensure I am providing each child with the best opportunity to absorb the lesson.
I would like to primarily perform tutoring online, though we could schedule in-person lessons periodically if needed (such as before an exam). I plan to tailor my tutoring to the needs of each student; this would include researching the specific materials used for the courses as well as seeking additional materials and references for practice and review. Please feel free to message me with any questions or to schedule a lesson. Thanks!
