Texas A&M (Mechanical Engineer)
Howdy! I'm Michael and I am a proud graduate of Texas A&M University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. I have worked as an engineer in different settings, but I now work as an engineering teacher at a San Antonio area high school. My main goal is to help students who are wanting to pursue a career in engineering. Many students drop out of engineering because of the early Math and Physics classes. These are your typical “weed out” classes for engineering majors. I believe that our society needs more STEM professionals and I don’t want these early classes to be the reason students drop out of engineering.
I am a certified teacher in the state of Texas. I am certified to teach Mathematics (Grades 6-12), Physics, and Engineering. As a certified teacher I have experience helping students learn new material and master concepts. Being an engineering teacher consists of very project based curriculum, but I often have students come to me for help in their math and physics classes. I also have experience tutoring college students in upper level mathematics such as Calculus I, II, III, and Differential Equations. Teachers and professors have quite a bit of material to get through and they often go quickly. I believe that one on one help in these difficult subjects can be very helpful.
Mathematics and Physics are my passion. I enjoy the practicality of it and I believe that it is an important skill in many professions. I have always been a bit a of math nerd and received a minor in mathematics during my bachelor's degree at Texas A&M. I want to help students understand these subjects, so that they can build on their skills as the progress through their education.
I am also available to help you prepare for the SAT and ACT. These tests are very important when it comes to scholarships and getting into the college of your choice. I can help you review for the exam and learn tactics to handle these timed multiple choice tests.
If you are struggling with Math or Physics, know that you are not alone. These subjects are challenging. I am also here to help you prepare for the SAT and ACT. I would enjoy the opportunity to help you. Please contact me to schedule a session. Howdy! My son has his confidence to pass his act's with some more tutoring. Very professional. Highly recommended!!!! He was intime to appoint the and ready to get to work, even though we were late.
He was very informative and took his time teaching my steps to solve my problems. I would highly recommend him to tutor for math.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I hold a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a Minor in Mathematics. I passed the AP Calculus BC test with a 5 in High School. I made A's in Calculus II, III, and Differential Equations in college. I have experience tutoring these subjects.
I hold a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a Minor in Mathematics from Texas A&M University. I made an A in my Differential Equations class. I made a B in my Partial Differential Equations class.
I hold a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University (3.684 GPA). I passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE) for Mechanical Engineering. I practiced as a Mechanical Engineer for 4+ years and am now teaching engineering classes at the high school level.
As a student and as a practicing mechanical engineer, I used the 3D modeling software Solidworks at a very high level. I am proficient in modeling, assemblies, and part drawings. I also teach 3D modeling in my high school classes using a very similar software, Autodesk Inventor.
