Currently, I am a graduate student in Anthropology, focusing on linguistics in the Ancient Near East.

I am a passionate tutor who is dedicated first and foremost to the success of my students. I ensure that my pupils have 100% comprehended all the subjects we have discussed together. It is easy to shove facts in someone's face, but my goal is to find ways to apply these facts and knowledge to practical skills.

I love to learn, and I share this passion with everyone with whom I come in contact. I hope to have the opportunity to share this attitude with all of my students.

Criminal Justice,

Criminal Justice

I was a Sociology major in college with a heavy emphasis on criminology and criminal justice. I have studied with some of the leading professionals in the field. In addition, I scored high marks on all of my Criminology and Criminal Justice classes.
GRE,

GRE

I took the GRE in February 2018 and received a 165 on Verbal (96th percentile), 166 on Quantitative (91st percentile), and a 5.5 on Analytical Writing (98th percentile). The test is almost always delivered by computer, which adapts to the test taker. I find this is advantageous to the student because they are really showing their skills off. I build upon what the student knows, which is easier with more time. Let me know if you would like to start preparing for the GRE.

Hebrew,

Hebrew

I have studied Biblical and Modern Hebrew and am comfortable with teaching the fundamentals. I currently teach Biblical Hebrew to advanced middle schoolers and have done so for a couple years. There are a vast number of similarities between Biblical and Modern Hebrew, but the differences are stark. Just let me know what branch of Hebrew you need help with, so that I am able to assist accordingly.

Anthropology

One of my minors in college was anthropology. I am most well-versed in sociocultural anthropology, however, I am able to assist in Biological and Archaeological anthropology. My passion for the study of human interactions show when I teach students. While in college, I ensured the success of many of my fellow students in anthropology.
Bible Studies,

Bible Studies

I am currently a teacher of the Hebrew Bible, which is considered the Old Testament for many Christians. In addition, I incorporate New Testament Scriptures into my classroom to supplement learning. My knowledge runs on a scholarly level, meaning that I am able to provide context and historical background to the text, as opposed to theology.
Sociology,

Sociology

I received my B.A. in Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin. I was very interested in learning about the theorists and their theories related to social interactions, especially in the realm of education. Further, I greatly enjoyed creating my own experiments to study the impacts of educational disparities.

Geometry,

Geometry

I took honors Geometry in high school and passed with high marks. Since then, I have added to my knowledge with multiple classes in Calculus. For Geometry, I try to make proofs and theorems interactive in order to make what can be a dry subject more interesting and fun. Once there is a solid foundation in these concepts, it is easier to teach more advanced formulas that are in most state curricula.

He was nice, and he explained in detail about why the answers make sense logically.

He was nice, and he explained in detail about why the answers make sense logically. He taught me how I should approach several types of sentence completion questions. Before that, I just read and tried to find answer that makes a sentence. His approach reduced my time to solve problems, but sometimes he is a little bit slow when he explains the questions. It would be better if he just explains questions without asking what I am thinking.

Thank you so much for the feedback. I am glad I was able to reduce the time it took for you to complete your questions on the GRE. I am sorry that the lessons were a little slow for you; I try to read my students throughout the lesson and see what they might need. I always welcome continual feedback during, between, and after lessons to ensure that our time together is maximized, efficient, and effective.
