I have 17 years of educational and student involved experience. I enjoy being part of a young person’s life and having an impact upon their gaining knowledge for everyday life. I have had the opportunity to teach Kindergarten through Junior college students. My certifications include math, business, computers and vocational education. I have received my Masters in Instructional Technology and my Bachelors in Business Management.
My first meeting with the student would include an evaluation as to their skills and things they are interested in. I can assist with classwork and homework. I can also assign supplemental work to advance in the subject area as needed or desired. My goal is to see the student use what was learned for school and in everyday life.

Mary has worked with my grand daughter to help her understand her 3rd grade math. This increased her confidence in being able to solve problems. Mary is a great tutor which I highly recommend to anyone who might need help.
Thank you. I have enjoyed working with Taylor. I see great potential in her. I've been told multiplication is next. I have s game that will help. You know that is the way to her doing well
Have a great day. Thanks for this opportunity
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have taught business classes for 8 of my 17 years of teaching. I have also written and completed 5 grants for career development of students. My goal in teaching any class or subject is to design it toward how it can be used to better the student. While teaching keyboarding and vocational classes, many things needed to advance a persons career were taught (i.e., resume, cover letter, business letter, computer systems to use in different jobs and more)
I have taught my own class, 4th-12th grade students, math. I have also tutored elementary students in all subjects for the since 2011. I enjoy the students and try to use what the teachers send to create real hands on lessons to work with these students.
I have my certification in elementary classes. I have used my knowledge and hands on ideas with children in a Montessori program and as a substitute and the Amarillo area. I also have a 2 and 1/2 year old niece working on letters at this time and we have come up with using eyes, hands, and speech to work on letters.
I have taught MS Office since 2001. MS Access was included in the BCIS classes I taught. Using it can be troublesome for some students, but I teach it to the real world aspect of using it.
