I am a married mom of three but the kids are all growing up. My youngest is now 14 years old. I have a grandson. I always wanted to be a teacher but chose to be a mom instead. I made mostly A's in school. I went to Lamar for over a year and then my husband and I had our first child and I wanted to be a good mom so I quit college. I later went back to college and received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administrations online. Then I decided to go on further and pursue my MBA.
I love kids. I think all children have the potential to be anything they want to be with the right tools and encouragement. This generation is our future so I believe that it is up to us as adults to secure the best future we can for them. I just want to do my part by possibly helping some of them achieve great strides in learning.
I admit I don't have a teaching degree, sadly. I think the ship has sailed for me to go back and get one. But I still believe I can help. I prefer to tutor only K-5 children. But if your child is older than that, I am great at helping with book reports, English writing assignments, creative writing, reports on people from history to present because I have successfully tutored a few of my daughter's friends in those specific areas.
Honestly, I am not that great in any Math higher than 5th grade. I know how to do it but I just think your child would be better suited with someone more qualified in that area. I only say that because I am here to help and I do not want to offer my services if I think I cannot be of help.
I am a patient person and that is required when teaching someone how to do anything. My career job is a department manager and teaching employees how to do almost everything is what I do and I am good at it because I have patience.
I am an open book so feel free to ask me any questions. I am only here to offer help. I am a married mom of three but the kids are all growing up. My youngest is now 14 years old. I have a grandson. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
