Lamar University (Nursing)
I love to help people with problems and seeing them progress. I have completed over 100 GPA hours in college and I am working towards getting my nursing degree. So as I am being taught, I would love to teach others things that I have learned. I have completed classes specifically dedicated to the use of Microsoft office and I use it on a regular basis. I have had the opportunity to oversee a health professional learning camp for high school students. Also, I have young nieces and nephews whom I help with their homework, so I have a wide range for levels of teaching.
I know that tutoring others will help me in my career prospects because so much of nursing is based on teaching patients how to take care of themselves and what signs and symptoms to watch out for. Therefore I hope to hone the skill of teaching by using it in anyway that I can, because know that the experience will make me a better professional and a better person.
I try my best to be patient and flexible, and I would love to hear feedback from my students. To foster a learning environment, arrangements can be made to meet at libraries, or whatever environment is most suitable for the student.
I have taken multiple advanced English classes. Also I usually score in the 90th percentile in the reading category on standardized tests.
I make frequent use of Microsoft office applications. I do my best to keep up the the updates to the software. I have taken classes for this particular software.
I am easily available by email, and I am willing and ready to assist anyone who truly needs the help. I love to help people with problems and seeing them progress. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
