K-12th grade. In my 13 years of teaching I had to adjust my teaching to the type of students I had. Since I worked in an inclusion setting; I have had the privilege to teach students who were not as capable as others and I had to find ways that they can comprehend the content whether it be a video, a song, the internet or other type of resource which helped them understand the material being thought. I believe that if parents and teachers have a good communication between them that it can help their student succeed even better. Maria is working with my 6 year old on his reading skills. I want him to be a grade level ahead on his reading. Maria is doing all she can to accomplish this mission. I will definitely recommend her to my family and friends.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
