I have a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and a Master's of Science in Statistics and Data Scientist from the University of Texas at Austin. While at UT Austin, I was part of the UTeach program that put you in the classroom early and exposed us to a variety of effective teaching methods. Upon completing my undergraduate studies I taught high school mathematics for 5 years. I taught Algebra 1&2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Advanced Quantitative Reasoning.
I left teaching high school to start my graduate studies in Statistics and Data Science. During my program, I served as a teaching assistant where I held regular office hours and tutored students. Upon completion of the program, I then taught 5 years as an Assistant Professor of Instruction in Statistics. My software experience include R and Excel, with minor experience in Python and SQL.
Most of my former students felt my instruction was engaging and that the information was communicated effectively and with the applicability of the content.
