I am new to tutoring and being paid for it, but I have helped friends with their classwork before. I enjoy math and explaining concepts and equations in a way that is intuitive and thorough. I am currently a third year student at the University of Chicago double majoring in mathematics and economics. Having graduated high school only two years ago, I am familiar with the current standards of success in AP Calculus AB and BC, AP Physics A and C, and the SAT and ACT math sections. I have just completed the year-long sequence of Analysis in Rn at university. This proof-based sequence has been a rigorous analysis of the real numbers in "n" dimensions. We have covered the constructions of the reals and basic topology through to multivariable differentiability and integration. In sum, I have an in depth understanding of fundamental mathematical principles and feel confident that I would be able to convey my enthusiasm and knowledge of the subject through tutoring.
I received an 790 on the SAT math section and a 780 on the SAT 2 subject test. I received a 5 in AP Calculus BC and in AP Physics C. I have taken the honors calculus sequence, the Analysis in Rn sequence, and Abstract Linear Algebra at the University of Chicago and have maintained the deans list for both my years here.
Please feel free to ask me any questions about my background or availability. Looking forward to hearing from you!
