I graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and am currently pursuing my Master's in the same at UT Austin. I am passionate about learning and teaching and have tutored college freshmen and sophomores in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and engineering disciplines in the past. My tutoring style is geared more towards generating curiosity and interest in the subject rather than encouraging rote learning.

I have a good academic background through high school and college and I have been involved in many projects throughout my college career. I am more than willing to give study and learning tips and talk about my experiences and help students to make the most of their education.

I have experience tutoring college students in lower division math and physics courses and received great reviews from each one. I taught myself many of the topics in the courses and therefore have a good understanding of areas that students find hard to grasp. My method is to let students discover things for themselves by providing just enough information and encouragement as I believe that is the best way to truly understand something. I like to derive and logically follow theorems and develop intuitive explanations for topics so that there is no need for memorization.

If you want to learn about why math and science is fascinating, or wonder why its important to study them even if you don't plan to work in STEM fields, or just want to boost your grades, feel free to send me a message!

Algebra 2,

Algebra 2

Mechanical Engineer with experience tutoring mathematics at college, high-school, and middle school levels. SAT and ACT math test preparation.
Calculus,

Calculus

As an engineer I have to be good at math to solve real problems. Calculus is everywhere in my field and is also my favorite branch of math. I have experience tutoring college freshmen and sophomores in calculus and received great reviews all around.
Geometry,

Geometry

Every engineering problem is solved using diagrams, whether they are free body diagrams or blueprints of structures. Geometry is essential to the accurate analysis of any scientific/engineering figure. To be successful in my field, being good at geometry is a must.
Precalculus,

Precalculus

Being a student of engineering, calculus is my bread and butter. Having taken all the college level calculus courses, I have a strong foundation in pre-calculus concepts. Learning calculus requires a mathematical and visual teaching method, which makes it hard to learn in a traditional classroom setting. Therefore, I teach it using many figures and explanations as in the case of limits, continuity, and derivatives - as they are all mathematical concepts with visual meanings.

Thorough with his subject and a patient tutor

Vibhav teaches my daughter Precalculus and he is extremely knowledgeable. My daughter feels she learns weeks of math with him compared to what she learns in school. He starts at the basic level and moves up. I connect with him whenever my daughter needs any help with her precalculus lessons. Very satisfied with his teaching.

Superb physics tutor.

Vibhav worked with my son all year in preparation for the Physics AP test. He was super available and helped my son wrap his head around a calculus-based mechanics class. And a very nice person to boot. Highly recommend him.

Patient and Knowledgable

Vibhav breaks down concepts in a very relatable and simple way so you can get it down. If things are new, he asks you questions and patiently tries to make you understand the new concept before he'll explain it if need be. This way you can learn effectively. Very knowledgeable of the subject and focused when you are working with him.
