Hello! My name is Gabriella and I am a certified Texas Teacher looking for tutoring opportunities. I taught 4th grade Math & Science for 1 year but unfortunately left the teaching world to further my education. During my year as a teacher, I became PBL (Project Based Learning), GT (Gifted/Talented), and ESL (English as a Second Language) certified. I had an amazing year teaching and loved working with young children. I was hired at the same school I completed my Student Teaching in as an undergrad and was also awarded "Rookie of the Year" among all the first-year teachers at my school. I am familiar with the STAAR test and have lots of resources for students in grades 3-5 in Math.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am certified by State of Texas to teach Elementary Education in Early Childhood - 6th grade. I interned in a 1st grade classroom and 4th grade classroom. I taught in a 4th grade classroom for 1 year.
I taught 4th grade Math for one year. Prepared 45 students the state of Texas STAAR test to include after school tutoring in Math as well. I have also spent two years student teaching in Math classrooms.
I played the violin for 10 years. I taught beginning violin to 3rd-5th graders for two years.
